A complete insurance package – minus the extra cost

Subject to eligibility and acceptance from Honda’s panel of licensed insurers, your Honda car will be fully insured through a well recognized registered insurance company, with the following advantages:

  1. No premium loading: Guaranteed for Honda cars up to 10 years old. Premium loading is an additional amount added to your premium if your car make is considered a higher risk due to theft or it is accident prone. The Honda insurance package guarantees that you will not be charged a premium loading for vehicles up to 10 years old.

  2. No excess clause: Guaranteed for Honda cars up to 10 years old. An excess clause is a clause which states that the insured has to bear a minimum amount (ranging from RM500 to RM3,000) of an accident claim, while the insurance company will bear the rest. Your Honda insurance package insurance policy covers 100% of the cost of any accident to your Honda (subject to terms and conditions) – which means extra savings for you.

The above benefits will automatically cease if the insurance policy lapses for any reason whatsoever. The above benefits and services will also be terminated if you are found by the Call Center (in its sole discretion) to be abusing its services. Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd reserves the right to terminate, cancel, cease, suspend, delete or amend any and/or all of the stated benefits and services related to Honda Insurance Package without prior notice to its members. The Honda Insurance package is arranged/underwritten by Honda’s panel of licensed insurers comprising Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd. (46983-W), Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad (149520-U), Uni Asia General Insurance Berhad (16688-K) and Asia Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad (96630-U). Insurance coverage is subject to the standard motor insurance policy terms and conditions and tariff rates. Honda Malaysia is not an agent of the licensed insurers.

Superior Services

Honda insurance package members will enjoy these services at all Honda Panel Insurers’ workshops.

  1. Speedy approval process for repairs under RM10,000: All claims are processed through an e-claim system. If the estimate for repairs to your car is below RM10,000, the Honda Panel Insurer’s Workshop will, subject to approval from insurance company, proceed with repairs immediately.

  2. Complimentary Services: Subject to authorization by the member, the workshops will assist the member involved in an accident in obtaining police reports, claims processing and documentation.

Honda Panel Insurers’ Workshops**

These workshops has been inspected by Honda Malyasia Sdn Bhd and are required to comply Honda’s standards, to ensure the repair work on your car is of the highest quality.

Only genuine Honda parts will be used in all repairs. The parts and workmanship come with a 6-month or 10,000 Km (whichever comes earlier) service warranty, from the workshop concerned.

** Members have the right to appoint any other workshop of their choice if they wish.
# Anywhere in Peninsular Malaysia excluding the islands but including Penang, Langkawi and Labun. In East Malaysia, services are available within 25km of Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Tawau, Bintulu, Miri, Sibu and Kuching, and along the Pan Borneo Highway.

Medical Assistance Referral Program

We will organize the services below and the cost of service shall be borne directly by the member.

Medical Referral and arrangement of medical appointments

Upon request, we will do our best to provide the name, address and telephone number of physicians (including both general practitioners and specialists), hospitals, dentists and dental clinics. And when requested, we will attempt to confirm the availability of the applicable medical or dental professional to make an appointment for treatment.

Dispatch of medication not available locally

We will dispatch the necessary medication not available locally in case of emergency and when local rules and regulations allow such a dispatch. In case it is not possible by local regulations to send the said medication, we will do our best to find equivalent medication locally and transfer it to the member. We shall not be help responsible for any delay in the dispatch of the medications.

Medical Evacuation/Repatriation

If the member is hospitalized following a medical emergency, and the local medical facility is inadequate, we will provide medical evacuation under constant medical supervision to the nearest adequate facility.

Medically supervised Repatriation

If our doctor, in consultation with the local attending physician, determines that treatment should continue at a medical facility nearer home following stabilization, we will organize the repatriation under constant medical supervision.

All decisions as to means of transportation and the final destination will be made by us or our authorized representative, and will be based solely upon medical necessity.
